MOSCOW, December 26. /TASS/. Western countries should better send to Ukraine their specialists in human rights and humanitarian issues instead of military advisers, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told reporters on Wednesday.
“Our political assessment remains unchanged: unfortunately, we view this as steps aimed at escalating the domestic Ukrainian conflict rather than settling it,” Zakharova stressed.
The diplomat noted that Ukraine’s incumbent authorities have outlined their goal as achieving peace and ensuring it. “How is this linked to military advisers and supplies of various types of weapons? That’s absolutely unclear,” she said.
For some reason, the West is not sending to Ukraine its advisers on human rights, humanitarian issues, restoring economic ties, bank payments or on problems of observing the rights of indigenous people, Zakharova said. “No one is rushing to help with the task of restoring peace.”.
