ZHUHAI /China/, November 7. /TASS/. US air defense systems’ parameters are inferior to those of their Russian counterparts, the director of Russia’s federal service for military-technical cooperation, Dmitry Shugayev, told TASS in an interview.

“Are US air defense systems inferior to Russian ones by their technical parameters? I’m certain they are,” he said.

Shugayev mentioned such advantages of Russian systems as target identification and elimination range, accuracy, speed of deployment and the ability to resist various means of attack.

He added that Russian manufacturers offered unique comprehensive solutions that allowed for “arming the customer with the complete arsenal of means of different range integrated into one reliable air defense cluster.”

“Even amid sanctions the demand for such universal solutions will keep growing,” he said.

At the same time he remarked that some markets were closed to Russia’s long-range air defense systems, because their acquisition would “inevitably entail political context-related implications.”.
