The Admiral of the Navy and the new head of the United States Joint Command in Central and South America Craig Foller said that Russia behaves like a “wounded, weakened bear that just throws” on democratic interests in the region.
“If we talk about Russia, then everything is possible. We have already seen what they (the Russians) did in Syria, and we need to be prepared for the fact that this may happen again in the future, ”the admiral said.
Foller noted that in the “non-democratic” countries of the region, which include Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, there is a significant influence of Russia and China.
The military left a direct answer to the question of whether the question of sending peacekeeping forces to Venezuela is being considered.
