Major-General Sergei Syomochko, first deputy head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, was fired on Friday.

This was just stated by Petro Poroshenko at a press conference , which is now taking place in the building of the Kiev Olympic Stadium instead of the promised debate with Vladimir Zelensky.

“On Friday, the deputy head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, General Semotko, was dismissed from his post,” Poroshenko said.

Recall that in early October 2018, Bihus.info’s journalistic investigation was issued regarding Semotchko. It said that in 2015–2017, during the war, the Semotchko family, without having any major legal income, acquired three mansions in one of the most expensive summer cottages – Kozin village near Kiev – worth several million dollars.

The investigation also stated that the family of the Ukrainian intelligence officer and counterintelligence officer Semochko is listed in the taxpayer databases of the Russian Federation.

Semotchko, in response, stated that in the investigation he “did not see any confirmation and not a single proof of the information presented.”

The scout added that both he and his wife are citizens of Ukraine. At the same time, he acknowledged that the adult children of his wife from his first marriage, who do not live with them, have citizenship of the Russian Federation.
