Russian border guards groundlessly refuse Ukrainians entry into the Russian Federation. This was reported on the air of Ukrainian television by the assistant to the chairman of the State Border Service of Ukraine Oleg Slobodian.
So, for three days through the Russian checkpoint “Nekhoteyevka”, which is opposite the checkpoint “Goptovka” in the Kharkiv region, Russian border guards refused to allow about 100 Ukrainians to enter the Russian Federation.
The reasons for the refusal of border guards either do not explain, or refer to a decree banning the entry of vehicles with an engine capacity of more than 2 liters.
Slobodian insists that they refuse only to Ukrainians. Among the people who were sent back to Ukraine were predominantly those who drove cars with an engine capacity of more than 2 liters.
“We officially appealed to the border guard service of the Russian Federation with a request to explain the reasons for such behavior, to which representatives of the border guard service of Russia replied that everything was normal and the checkpoint was working normally, that is, such a usual formal reply that does not explain the reasons at all” – said Oleg Slobodian.
Also Slobodian assures that the border guards filmed the Ukrainians on a video camera. They allegedly demanded that Ukrainians recognize that they are returning on their own initiative.
