MOSCOW, February 13. /TASS/. Russia’s Federation Council (upper house of parliament) adopted a decree at a plenary session on Wednesday requesting the government to provide extra measures to keep fuel prices within inflation, TASS correspondent reports.

“To provide additional measures to keep the fuel price growth within inflation in Russia over the long-term,” the decree approved by the Federation Council runs.

Moreover, senators have asked the cabinet to look into providing sole right of exporting petroleum products to oil companies only if those companies supply the required volume of high-quality fuel to the domestic market. That proposal is marked as “an extra measure to protect the domestic market and the interests of ordinary consumers.”
