HELSINKI, November 11. /TASS/. The Russian ice hockey team has become early winner of the Karjala Tournament after the Czech team was defeated by Finland with the 0:3 score.
The Russian team won the game with Sweden with the score of 4:1 earlier on Saturday and is the tournament leader with 6 points after two tours. Finland is the second with 3 points. The Swedish team is third with 3 points.
The result of the match between the teams is the first indicator for places in the tournament bracket if the teams have an equal number of points. Russia won the game with Finland (3:0). It is therefore the winner in the Karjala Tournament ahead of schedule. The Russian team will play with the team from the Czech Republic on Sunday.
