Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, a member of the collegium of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko, commenting on the Russian sanctions, called on the country’s leadership to “prepare for war.”

About this politician wrote on his page on the social network.

“A very strange list … Russia imposed sanctions against 68 legal entities and 322 individuals. It is expected that my name is number 54, and Arsen Avakov number 3. There is a list in my opinion of 3 groups.

1. Those political and social leaders who are really fighting with the Russian aggression.
2. Those officials who are obliged to counteract by the nature of their official duties.
3. Ukrainian businessmen who have property in Russia and in the territory of the occupied Ukrainian Crimea and Donbass and which they want to take away stupidly.
4. Persons who are agents of Russia in Ukrainian politics and economics and who are thus wanted to be legalized before the parliamentary elections.

For those who do not have assets and the need to travel to Russia on personal or commercial matters, these sanctions are rather symbolic.

For those businessmen and politicians who have property in the occupied Crimea and Donbas – this will be a real problem. Their property will be frozen and confiscated.

On the other hand, let’s face it, everyone who lived and who owns property in Crimea has been Putin’s hostages since February 2014.

What should Ukraine do in response to the package of Russian sanctions?

An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth — new point sanctions should be introduced aimed at the economic interests of Putin, Russian businessmen and officials from his closest circle.

We must begin with the confiscation of the property of those deputies and senators who voted for the annexation of the Crimea in March 2014.
In the SBU and RNBO I know who I mean.

We have many years of confrontation with the Putin regime ahead of us. Easy victory and return of the Crimea and the Donbass will not.

If you want peace, be ready for war. ”
