MOSCOW, November 9. /TASS/. Nornickel’s about 100 employees and their family members will become volunteers at the Student Winter Games in Krasnoyarsk in 2019, the company’s Vice President Vladislav Gasumyanov told reporters on Thursday.

“Many of our employees are not related to organizational issues, but as Russian citizens they are very interested in it… Nornickel has a volunteer program, where 100 people and their families have taken courses and will be volunteers at the Universiade,” he said during the ceremony of launching the Student Winter Games themed train in the Moscow Metro.

The Universiade’s themes will be placed on the Nordstar Airlines’ three planes, he added.

“First of all, this is our input in the promotion, and secondly, passengers enjoy this branding,” he continued. “During flights to Krasnoyarsk, the crew makes announcements the destination is the capital of Universiade.”

About 5,000 volunteers will work at the Winter Student Games, including 3,900 people from the Krasnoyarsk Region and 1,100 volunteers from Russia’s other regions and from abroad. Nornickel – the Games’ General Partner – pays for training of about 60 volunteer leaders.
