MINSK, January 5. /TASS/. Belarus intends to strengthen cooperation with Georgia by actively developing interstate contacts on different trajectories, President Alexander Lukashenko said in a message to Georgian counterpart Salome Zurabishvili on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
“Belarus seeks to further strengthen political, trade-economic and humanitarian ties with Georgia for the good of the peoples. Continuation of active and comprehensive interstate contacts will help put into practice new joint projects,” Lukashenko’s press service quoted the president as saying in the message.
The Belarusian leader said that in the past 25 years the countries have reached “a high level of trust,” adding that “Belarusian-Georgian cooperation is comprehensive and is growing”.
Lukashenko wished Zurabishvili good health, happiness and welfare, also wishing the Georgian people peace and prosperity, the press service said.
