In an effort to meet the demand for increased data transfer speed, Innodisk is introducing its solid state drive (SSD) M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen3 × 2 3ME2 MLC. SSDs are available in various form factors, operate in the temperature range from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius without the use of radiators and provide a 3x speed increase in comparison with conventional SATA devices.

The AIoT market is characterized by the requirements for compactness of the SSD to save space and reliability, as well as the ability of information stores to withstand the harshest operating conditions. Limited space often entails problems with high temperatures and heat dissipation.

The newest module of M.2 from Innodisk brilliantly solves these problems. Compared to other devices with similar specifications, the new PCIe SSD 3ME2 consumes 50% less energy, which facilitates the dissipation of heat. The drive is available in the form factors 2280 and 2242. Due to its industrial design, the SSD provides data integrity with the help of the LDPC error correction technology and integrated protection of the information transfer path (ETEP).

The SSD uses MLC flash memory without the SLC cache, which saves it from inevitably slowing down when caching is full. Radically solving this problem, the MLC-Flash continues to deliver a stably high speed throughout its life.
