ABU-DHABI, February 21. /TASS/. BrahMos missiles will be provided for the two frigates of project 11356M, being built at the Yantar shipyards in Kaliningrad for India, in 2020, Russia’s managing co-director of the BrahMos Aerospace company, Alexander Maksichev, told TASS on the sidelines of the IDEX 2019 weapons show.

“Two BrahMos sets with vertical launchers for eight missiles and the accompanying equipment will be provided for the two frigates of project 11356M in 2020,” Maksichev said.

“The launchers are manufactured in India. BrahMos Aerospace has the license,” he added.

All of the four new frigates 11356 for India’s Navy will be armed with BrahMos missiles. Two are to be built at Yantar, and two others at the Goa Shipyard.

BrahMos missiles are installed on all of India’s frigates and destroyers.
