SHANGHAI, November 4. /TASS/. Film industry is a very promising area of the Russian-Chinese cooperation, Russia’s Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Alexei Volin said on the sidelines of a Russian-Chinese media forum in Shanghai on Sunday.
“Film industry is on the rise today both in Russia and in China, and we believe that is a very promising area of cooperation,” he said. “Around 20 Russian films have been released in China over the past several years, whereas there were none four years ago,” Volin noted.
He also suggested that “the cooperation in the film industry can be developed not only through the traditional distribution channel of cinema screens,” which is also important,” but also “through mobile platforms and online cinemas.”.
