The famous Soviet director George Danelia died in Moscow at the age of 89.

Recall that at the end of March, Danelia was hospitalized for resuscitation with pneumonia, the doctors assessed his condition as serious and were forced to put him in the medication coma and connect to the ventilator.

Later, the director’s wife reported that her husband’s condition improved, he began to breathe himself. However, in recent days, the state of the master has deteriorated, and this day he passed away.

Georgy Danelia shot the films that were beloved by several generations of viewers: “I walk through Moscow”, “Afonya”, “Mimino”, “Autumn Marathon” and “Kin-dza-dza”.
