SOCHI, February 15. /TASS/. A new bridge across the Ob in Salekhard will be convenient for tourists, who want to see the scenic Polar Urals (the highest part of the Urals Mountains), the Yamalo-Nenets Region’s Governor Dmitry Artyukhov told TASS on fringes of the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi on Friday.

The bridge construction is a key part of the project to build the Northern Latitudinal Railway – a 700-km line, which will connect the Northern and Sverdlovskaya Railways.

“We shall have even more tourists when we offer a tourist product, where it will take a visitor two hours to get from Moscow to the Arctic, to see the Northern people’s culture, to try the national cuisines, to go hiking in the mountains, and getting there will take just minutes,” the governor said.

“Mountains always attract people, there are interesting places there, waterfalls, the Jade Valley,” he added.
